Jotifi keeps a list of the items you opened most recently, on all your devices, so you can get back to them quickly. When you delete something, it goes to Recently deleted for 30 days, where you can restore it.

See what you opened recently#

On Desktop and Web

In the sidebar, click Recent. Recently opened opens in the pane on the right, with the newest first. Click an item to open it.

To narrow the list, type in Filter by title (or press F), or use Type, Project, Device and Last opened. The pane closes when you open an item; click the pin at its top to keep it open.

On Tablet and Foldable

In the sidebar, tap Recent. Recently opened opens on the right (on an unfolded foldable, as a page on the right screen). Tap an item to open it, or narrow the list with Filter by title, Type, Project, Device and Last opened.

On Phone

Tap Library, then Recent. Tap an item to open it, or narrow the list with Filter by title, Type, Project, Device and Last opened.

The Jump back in section of Today also shows the items you opened last.

Shown on an Android foldable; on an iPhone Duo the item's tools sit in a side bar on the right.

Remove an item from Recent#

Removing an item from Recent only takes it off the list. The item itself stays as it is.

On Desktop and Web

Point to the item, click ⋯ at the end of its row, then click Remove from recent.

On Tablet, Foldable and Phone

Swipe left on the item, then tap Remove.

Restore a deleted item#

Notes, tasks, boards, columns, calendars, spreadsheets, whiteboards and whole projects can all be restored. Each item shows which project it goes back to and how many days it has left.

On Desktop and Web
  1. In the sidebar, click Deleted. Deleted items opens in the pane on the right.
  2. Find the item. Filter by name and the type menu (All types) narrow the list.
  3. Click Restore on its row.
On Tablet and Foldable
  1. In the sidebar, tap Deleted. Recently deleted opens on the right.
  2. Find the item. Filter by name and the type buttons above the list narrow it down.
  3. Tap Restore beside it.
On Phone
  1. Tap Library, then Recently deleted. You can also tap your account picture at the top of Today, then Recently deleted.
  2. Find the item. Filter by name and the type buttons above the list narrow it down.
  3. Tap Restore beside it.

A message says where the item went back to, with Open to go straight to it. If its folder or parent is gone, it goes to the top of its project. If it can't go back at all, ⋯ on its row offers Restore to new project.

Shown on an Android foldable; on an iPhone Duo the item's tools sit in a side bar on the right.

If restoring an item would take you over a limit of your plan, Jotifi does not restore it and tells you why. See Plans and limits.

Restore several items at once#

On Desktop and Web
  1. At the top of Deleted items, click Select.
  2. Tick the items you want.
  3. Click Restore in the bar above the list.
On Tablet, Foldable and Phone
  1. At the top of Recently deleted, tap Select.
  2. Tap the items you want.
  3. Tap Restore.

Delete items for good#

Items stay in Recently deleted for 30 days, then are deleted for good. Until then they still count toward your storage. To delete them sooner:

  • One item: clicktap ⋯ on its row, then Delete forever….
  • Several items: select them as above, then choose Delete forever….
  • Everything: choose Delete all… at the bottom of the list.

Jotifi asks first. Deleting for good removes the item from every device, together with anything deleted with it and its files. This can't be undone.

Undo a delete straight away#

Right after you delete something, a message with Undo appears for a few seconds. Select Undo to bring the item back where it was.

On Desktop and Web

While the message shows, you can also press ⌘ZCtrlZ.

Jotifi asks before it deletes a task with subtasks, a note with sub-notes, a task list or a calendar. To change that, use Ask before deleting in Settings › Editing. See Change settings.

Restore a deleted file#

Files you delete in Settings › Storage and files go to its list of deleted files first.

On Desktop and Web
  1. Open Settings, then Storage and files.
  2. Click Deleted files.
  3. Click the restore button on the file's row, then Restore. The file goes back to its item.
On Tablet, Foldable and Phone
  1. Open Settings, then Storage and files.
  2. Tap Deleted above the list of files.
  3. Tap the restore button on the file's row, then Restore. The file goes back to its item.

Deleted files keep using storage until they are deleted permanently.
