Jotifi arranges itself for the screen you use it on. On a computer and a tablet you move from left to right: pick a place in the sidebar, pick an item from its list, and work on it in the middle. On a phone, a tab bar at the bottom takes you to each place.

Know the parts of the screen#

On Desktop and Web
  • Sidebar, on the left: the workspace at the top, then Today, Upcoming, Recent and Deleted, your Library, your Favourites and your Projects. Settings is at the bottom.
  • Items column, next to it: the list for what you picked in the sidebar, such as a project's items or all your notes.
  • Main area: the item you are working on. Each item you open gets a tab at the top of the window.
  • Right-hand pane: details, search, notifications, sharing and your account open here, beside your work.

At the top right are the search button, the bell for notifications, the sync status and your picture, which opens your account.

On Tablet
  • Sidebar: the workspace at the top, then Today, Upcoming, Recent and Deleted, your Library, Favourites and Projects. Your name and the Settings button are at the bottom.
  • List: the items in what you picked, such as a project's items or all your notes.
  • Main area: the item you are working on, with its tools in the toolbar at the top. The bell for notifications and the search button are at the top right.
  • Right-hand pane: details, sharing, notifications and your account open here.

On a smaller iPad, or in portrait, the sidebar and the list share one column. Select a place to see its list, and Back to return.

On Foldable

Unfolded, the left screen holds the navigation (the sidebar, then the list for what you picked) and the right screen holds the item you are working on, with its tools in the toolbar at the top. Details and other panes take the right screen. Folded, the cover screen uses the phone layout.

See Foldables and iPhone Duo for more.

On Phone

The tab bar at the bottom has six tabs: Today, Projects, Tasks, All Notes, Search and Library. Each tab keeps its own place, so you can switch tabs and come back to where you were.

At the top of each screen are its buttons, such as ⋯ for more options and + to add something. Your picture, beside the title on Today and Library, opens your account, notifications and settings.

Shown on an Android foldable; on an iPhone Duo the item's tools sit in a side bar on the right.
