Every task, note and other item keeps a record of its changes: who made each change and when. This is most useful in a shared project, where you can see what other people did while you were away. Activity lists changes only; there are no comments.

See a task's activity#

The task's activity shows changes such as "completed", "changed status to In progress", "added tag" or "assigned", grouped by day, newest first.

On Desktop and Web
  1. Open the task. Its pane opens on the right.
  2. At the top of the pane, click Activity. Details takes you back.
On Tablet and Foldable
  1. Open the task. Its pane opens on the right.
  2. At the top of the pane, tap Activity.
On Phone
  1. Open the task.
  2. At the top of the task, tap Activity. It shows how many entries there are.
Shown on an Android foldable; on an iPhone Duo the item's tools sit in a side bar on the right.

See a note's or another item's activity#

Notes, boards, calendars, spreadsheets and whiteboards show their activity in their details.

On Desktop and Web
  1. Open the item and click the ⓘ button at the top right. Its details open on the right.
  2. Click Activity at the top of the details.

For a note, you can also click ⋯, then History.

On Tablet and Foldable
  1. Open the item and tap the ⓘ button in the toolbar at the top.
  2. Tap Activity at the top of the details.

For a note, you can also tap ⋯ in the toolbar, then History.

On Phone
  1. Open the item, tap ⋯, then tap Details (for a calendar, Calendar details). On a note you can tap ⓘ instead.
  2. Tap Activity at the top of the details.

For a note, you can also tap ⋯, then History.

Compare old and new values#

For notes, spreadsheets and whiteboards, History follows the activity on the Activity tab. It lists each change to the item's name, description or (for a note) status, with the old value and the new one, for example "In review → Published", and when the item was created.

Shown on an Android foldable; on an iPhone Duo the item's tools sit in a side bar on the right.

Follow changes to a whole project#

Project history covers changes to the project itself rather than to one item: renaming the project, its colour, its place among your projects, the order of its items, and its board columns being renamed, moved or deleted.

On Desktop and Web

Open the project's page, then click Activity at the top. The Overview tab also has a short Activity list with Show all.

In an item's details, Project history is at the bottom of the Activity tab. Click it to open it.

On Tablet and Foldable

Open the project page. Its Activity list shows the latest changes; tap Show all to see the rest.

In an item's details, Project history is at the bottom of the Activity tab. Tap it to open it.

On Phone

Open an item's details, tap Activity, then tap Project history at the bottom.
